Kashmir

This place is the main attraction for the tourists but still, the economy of Kashmir is depending on Agriculture. Traditionally the main  crop is Rice which is also a chief food of the people who live here. As far as I know, rice is the heavy and worm to your stomach. Maybe this is the scientific reason because of which rice is chief food here. The temperature here never rises up!

Indian corn, oats, wheat, and barley also were grown additionally.

One more thing I would like to tell you about Hinduism and Buddhism in Kashmir is, During the ancient and medieval period, It has been an important center for the development of a Hindu-Buddhist syncretism, in which Madhyamaka and Yogachara were blended with Shaivism and Advaita Vedanta. If you are more interested in knowing about Hinduism and Buddhism here is the link for that.
